Now that you have your pack fully charged and your meter on hand select the make of golf cart you wish to troubleshoot below
But 1st you need to know which drive system your cart has so you can avoid setting your cart on fire, pushing it over a cliff, and pulling your hair out.
Each manufacture has produced a few different drive systems in their quest to make the perfect golf cart.
Click here to determine which system you will be working on. Then come back here prepared for success.
All testing requires a fully charged battery pack. A full charge for 36v carts is 38.2v and for 48v carts a 50.9v reading 12 - 24 hours AFTER the charge has ended and the pack has settled to what it can actually retain.
Minimum voltage for 36v carts is 36.3 and for 48v carts minimum voltage should be 48.4. These numbers represent 50% charged or 50% depleted = time to recharge.
Voltage less than this is going to adversely effect testing.
